Wilmington University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II institution that competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Conference is comprised of 14 schools throughout Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut.
The Wildcats sponsor 11 intercollegiate athletic teams. In the fall, Wilmington offers men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball. The winter season has men's and women's basketball, while the spring consists of baseball, men's golf, women's lacrosse, and women's softball.
Covering a Game
Media members covering a Wilmington University home game will be supplied with a game program containing rosters for both teams along with notes on the game and both team. Halftime and final box scores can be printed, where available.
All Wilmington University athletic events are free admission throughout the regular season. If the Wildcats host a playoff game at the end of the season, Wilmington University and the CACC charges admission at the gate.
Most athletics facilities are equipped with wireless internet. The WILDCATS wireless network has no password or log-in, and can be accessed from all facilities except Wilson Field.
Media interview requests for Wilmington head coach Dan Burke, his coaching staff, and WU men’s basketball players would be directed to Dan Lauletta in the Wilmington University Athletics Complex. Coaches and players are available for interviews during the week around the squad’s practice schedule and after competition.
