Ryan Rucinski Named to Division II PING All-East Region Team

NORMAN, Okla. – Senior Ryan Rucinski was named to the Division II PING All-East Region team for Wilmington University golf, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Rucinski was the lone Wildcat to earn a spot on the All-East Region team this year, being the only Wildcat to win the award since Zac Moore and Miguel Siercke earned the award back in 2017. He was one of 12 student-athletes in the East to be named to the Division II PING All-East Region team, as a total of 104 student-athletes were named All-Region across Division II's eight regions. It it the third time in his four-year career that he has been named All-East Region.
Through 25 rounds so far this season, he leads the Wildcats with a 74.48 average. He has 2.76 strokes against the par and shot a low round of 69 in the third round at the Saint Leo Invitational to finish tied for seventh with a total of 215. His best finish this season came at the Penmen Spring Invitational where he finished tied for first with a first round score of 70. The senior led the Wildcats at the NCAA DII Atlantic/East Super Regional, finishing third overall in the tournament. He was named CACC Player of the Year, which also places him on the CACC All-Tournament Team. He is currently fourth in the East Region going into the NCAA DII National Tournament this week, according to GolfStat.com.
Dominican's Hunter Wescott and Post's Matthieu Sincard were the only other Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference student-athletes named to the All-East Region team.
