Harry "Hap" Jennings begins his 14th season as head coach of the Wildcats. Coach Jennings has had great success with the golf program thus far, winning seven straight Central Atlantic Conference Championships while playing in the five of the last seven NCAA National Championships from 2011-2017. He is extremely proud of his players and is excited about the new players coming in this fall.

Coach Jennings hosted five CACC Conference Championships (and will again host the 2017 CACC Championships in the fall), while his squads participated in the championship each year, winning the tournament in seven consecutive years from 2011-2017. He also hosted one and participated in 13 NCAA Super Regional Championships. Wilmington's golf team was the first team in any sport in conference history to host a NCAA Super Regional, and was the first team in conference history to be ranked number one in the East Region six consecutive years. Wilmington also had the top ranked freshmen class in the nation during the 2010 season.

During his tenure, the team achieved 44 first-place victories, 19-second place finishes, and has had 45 All-Conference players. The team had a National Ranking of 22nd in the nation in 2011. He has had 32 medalists, 13 Ping All-Regional award winners six years running, one Ping All-American recipient, eight CACC Players of the Year, four Rookie of the Years, numerous CACC Player of the Month and Player of the Week Awards, Rookie of the Week Awards, Delaware State Open low amateur score and two Delaware State Amateur winners. He has also coached eight players in the top ten in the East Region, and posted the lowest scoring average regionally two years running. The team won the Atlantic/East Super Regional in 2012 at Hershey Country Club and had a player win medalist honors by seven strokes. The team also won its second Atlantic/East Super Regional Championship in 2015 at the Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. Jennings was named the CACC Coach of the Year for his efforts four seasons in a row from 2012-2015, and once again in 2017.  He also became the first coach in Wilmington University history to be named East Region Coach of the Year after the Golf Coaches Association of American, in conjunction with the Eaton Corporation awarded him in 2012, and recently earned his second Regional Coach of the Year award following the 2015 season. Currently, Coach Jennings is the Chair of the CACC Golf Coaches and a member of the Golf Coaches Association of America.

In the 2016 season, Jennings took his team further than any other East Region program by earning a spot in the Top 8 at the NCAA Division II National Tournament following three rounds of stroke play. The team advanced to the Medal Match Play but fell in the quarterfinals to eventual 2016 NCAA Division II National Champion St. Leo University.

Coach Jennings has been involved in the golf business and athletic achievement for many years. Coach Jennings is a golf instructor, performance fitting and equipment consultant, a licensed professional putting green designer, and the co-owner of Golfixx.com and The Perfect Swing Golf Academy. Coach Jennings emphasizes a mental approach, discipline and course management. Since his early involvement in school sports, he has driven himself to be the best in coaching and instruction. Deriving his organizational skills from his years as a player/instructor at the high school and collegiate level, his drive to succeed with his students is truly remarkable.
